STYLE FOR YOU AND YOUR HOME
Some 33 years ago, while living for a short time in Missouri and raising three children, Lorraine McGowan began a career in Folk Art painting. She took classes, taught classes, earned her accreditation as a “Certified Decorative Artist” and sold her work.
Returning to the East Coast, Lorraine and her family moved to Monroe in 1984. From her basement she continued to teach the classes and sell her artwork in addition to country gifts and decor, a popular decorating trend at the time.
In 1987 Lorraine opened Country Hearts, a quaint country store, in Bradford Green. Using her artists eye and experience she created a popular retail destination. Over several years with an address change and a change in concept it evolved into her dream business – Monroe’s premiere shop for women’s apparel, accessories and gifts – the Lorraine K. Boutique.
Within the shop everything has class and is beautifully displayed. Her talent as an artist permeates everything she does. Women seek her out for a fashion opinion. Style is her trademark and she makes every customer feel more beautiful. Twice a year Lorraine and her staff hold in-store fashion show events. The next is slated for September. Watch for it.
